As an independent bookstore, we are committed to giving back to the Pitt community. Through the Panther Points program, students, staff, and faculty can earn in-store credit on the things they need, so they can save on the things they want.

Members of our Panther Points loyalty program automatically earn 5% back in points on items located in our Panther Den—including physical textbooks, lab coats, course materials, school supplies, and general books. Plus, members receive 10% off general books every day, and you still earn points on those discounted purchases.

Please note: Points can only be earned and redeemed on select Panther Den items.

How to Join

For students, faculty, and staff with a Pitt ID:

  1. Sign in to our website using your Pitt Passport SSO.
  2. Once signed in, navigate to update profile.
  3. At the bottom of the page, enable Panther Points loyalty program participation on your account.
  4. Submit your profile to save changes.

For all other customers:

  1. Sign in or Create an Account to our website using the customer log-in option.
  2. Once signed in, navigate to update profile.
  3. At the bottom of the page, enable Panther Points loyalty program participation on your account.
  4. Submit your profile to save changes.

Using Your Points at Checkout

Earning and redeeming your Panther Points is simple, no matter how you shop with us:

In-Store:

  • Just let your cashier know you are a Panther Points member before they ring up your items. They can look up your account and apply it to the transaction so that points get added to your account.

Online:

  • Log into your University Stores account before checking out. Your available points balance will automatically appear as an option during the payment step if you are purchasing eligible Panther Den items.

Points will update in your account two days after a purchase.

Yes, points expire 90 days after they are earned, giving you plenty of time across semesters to redeem them. You will be emailed reminders of when your points expire 14 days prior to their expiration.

You can view your current point balance anytime by logging into your online store account and navigating to View Loyalty Account Information.
