Our Heinz Memorial Chapel collection features the work of many local artists as well as limited edition items.

These inspiring notecards from Fresh Cut Prints showcase women depicted in the Chapel’s magnificent stained-glass windows. Local artist Erin Niehenke, beautifully recreates St. Clare of Assisi, Abigail Adams, Florence Nightingale, Dorothea Dix, Emily Dickinson and Chiefess Kapiʻolani.

 

This card features St Clare of Assisi (13th Century). St. Clare was an early follower of St. Francis of Assisi, dedicating her life to Poverty, Chastity and Obedience. She is depicted across from him in the Tolerance window. Founder of the Order of Poor Ladies or “Poor Clares”, she wrote their “Rule of Life” monastic guidelines.
